Sleep Essentials

Cellular Blanket

This is the perfect size for a newborn. A cellular blanket is what is recommended by midwives and health visitor because it is breathable for baby in case it comes over their head.

Bedside Crib

We have our little one sleep in bed with us but we also got this to try out. Sleeping right next to your baby is magical and to be able to give them your hand makes this crib worth getting! You can adjust the height to wherever you need it.

Blackout Curtains

My regret is that we didn't get these from the start! It fits on any window because of the velcro system. It makes the room completely dark even when the sun is out! It's so needed to keep your baby asleep.

Blanket

I love soft blankets! These ones are perfect for extra warmth. I use a thinner blanket at night because it's warm in the house but when it's been colder out these blankets are perfect. Also, they are much better for older babies.

Bed Guards

Because we bed share we use these bed guards to make sure our little one doesn't get too close to the edge. This is also fantastic for toddler beds. They are super easy to use!

More Nursery Items

Because I live in a small flat we don't have a nursery yet. But when we do this is what I plan on doing...

Sleeping Pod

I originally got a SleepyHead and it was beautiful and looked good in photos but I found that they became small really fast. At 3 months my little one look squished in it. So next time around I am getting this one! 3x's cheaper and more spacious. It's brilliant for babies who co-sleep because they have their own little space.

Room Thermometer

I love this room thermometer! We have two, one for the bedroom and one for the living room. It really helps me know when to adjust the heating or open the window. the colours are brilliant because even when you can't see the numbers you can know the temperature. And it's a nice night light for when you need to get up.
