Anchor 1

Mobiles

These are great for your newborn's brain development! The movements and colours will help them with their sight development. There is no need for flashy noisy mobiles.

Small Rug

I used this as extra padding for my little one. It is so soft and warm. 

Full-Length Mirror

It is so important that our babies see themselves so they can learn about their bodies. Make sure the mirror is drilled in tight for safety.

Bouncer

I rarely used this because I would rather hold my baby or place him on the floor. But this bouncer came in handy when I needed to take a shower or do my hair. 

Play Rug

I love this rug! It is super soft and very well padded! It also comes in so many styles. It is perfect while your baby does tummy time or is learning to stand. I need more of these!

Play Mat

I mostly bought this for when I am at other people's houses. This mat is padded and interactive as well. It is great for tummy time!

Anchor 2

3-6 Months

Bell and Ring Mobile

This Montessori Bell on the ribbon mobile is usually introduced around 4 months. The bell on the ribbon encourages the visual and auditory development of the baby. This baby mobile stimulates the baby to reach and grasp the bell. The way you hang the bell is to be close to baby's reach but not too close to grab it.

Wooden Teether

When your baby's teeth start to wiggle their way through your baby will need something to bite on. This teether is perfect because of the textures and shape. 

Sensory Balls

These different texture balls are great for visual and brain development. My little one loves chasing these around and feeling the different patterns in his mouth. When you squeeze the balls air is shot out and can be blown at your baby's face. Ours loves that!

Hand Turned Rattle

I know it seems like a lot of different types of rattles to get a baby but each one I list uses a different skill and helps your baby's development. This rattle helps your baby to learn how to turn their hand to hear the sound.

Crinkly Cloth

Baby teether, with crinkle paper inside, wooden toggles and ribbon to keep baby happy and entertained. Fun to chew, fun to play with and best part - fun to CRINKLE. Crinkle paper gives off a nice sound that baby loves.

Rattle

When shaken, the wood makes a lovely sound! It is approximately 4 inches in length, making it easy for your baby to grasp.As with almost everything, this also makes a great teething toy.

Bell Rattle

This hand bell is perfect as your baby learns to move their wrist. Our little one loves this instrument and gets so excited when we start to sing along.

Maraca

These Mexican maracas are so beautiful and make a lovely sound! The texture of the material is also so fum for babies. My little one loves running his fingers along the threads and biting it.

Interlocking Disc

This Montessori disc is used to help the baby learn to grasp effectively and switch hands back and forth. It is also wonderful as a teether. As the baby grows, this disc can be used as an incentive for your baby to crawl after it. When on their belly, the baby will bat at it to try to get it. As they does, the material rolls in a very interesting pattern.

Grasping Ball

This will help your baby develop the muscles needed to grasp as they learn to hold this ball. This product also comes with a wooden teether tied with fabric which is a favourite for our little one. 

Bell Cylinder

The Montessori bell cylinder can be offered to your baby as soon as they are engaging in purposeful grasping, around 3 months. Babies love grasping onto this toy and learning to change it between their hands. As they move, they notice the jingling of the bell. When they are ready to begin crawling, the bell cylinder is a wonderful toy to entice them to move forward.

Sensory Scarves

Babies love to play with these scarves! Because they are transparent, you can let your baby see the world in different colours.

Anchor 3

6-9 Months

Kallax Unit

Play shelves really can come in all shapes and sizes. The most important thing is displaying the toys out in the open in an orderly matter. The Kallax unit at IKEA is perfect for this! 

Rug

I love these rugs! They are nicely padded and very soft. It helps cushion a wobbly baby who falls.

Treasure Basket

Treasure Baskets support young babies learning, development and curiosity through touch, taste sound and visual stimulation. This product has a wide variety of objects in the basket that will keep your baby exploring for a while!

Permanence Object Box

This activity gives the baby practice with hand-eye co-ordination as the ball is put through the hole at the top. The ball then rolls in and out of sight giving a lesson in object permanence. You will have to show your baby how it is done so they can copy.

Sound Boxes

Supporting their hand-eye coordination and their auditory development, these boxes are very stimulating for any baby. Each one produces it's own sound so it is fun for your baby as they discovers on their own.

Mirrors

I really like to make sure our little one gets as many opportunities to see himself as possible. With these mirrors I would stick at the back of each box of the kallex unit. Our baby loves pulling himself up and smiling at himself.

Travel Play Box

This product saves me from having to dig through my bag and from losing my toys. This box is large and can fit a good variety of toys. It fits perfect in my nappy bag.

Sensory Squares

Help teach your child about different textures with these fabric squares. There are a good selection and they all come in pairs for different activities. My little one loves nibbling on these!

Balls

These slippery balls are one of our baby's favourite! They are very easy to hold and they slide around very fast. Our baby can spend a good half an hour just playing with these balls!

Cars

Our little one loves the feel of cars in his mouth and loves dragging them around himself. These wooden cars are fantastic and very safe because of itheir size.

Baskets

Along the lines of keeping toys in order and in the open baskets are the best way to group toys. It is a very effective way on storing different toys on the shelves in an organised matter.

Handbell Rattle

Another musical instrument to add to the collection. This rattle will further your baby's hand and auditory development.

Ball Cylinder

Babies love to study the movement of the balls and, when it is placed just out of their reach, begin to move towards the cylinder in order to get their hands on it. They love to discover their actions have effects! The ball cylinder rolls very well on carpet or hard floor so that your baby on the move can work their muscles and go after it.

Mirror with Bar

As your baby starts to have an interest in pulling themselves up this product can provide the perfect practice. They can fully see what they are doing and can walk along the bar provided for them.

Soft Cubes

The material is so nice for baby to bite and this cubes are easy to stack! They have different textures to every side so baby can feel his way around the cubes. This is an easy toy to travel with as well.

Anchor 4

9-12 Months

Ball Tracker

Baby can track the movement from left to right which is important for later reading and writing skills. It helps your baby's observation and attention. The balls are easy to grasp and very fun to watch as they come down.

Walker

These types of wooden walkers are brilliant for when your baby is learning to walk! They can be quite expensive so it is best to find one second-hand.

Pikler Triangle

This climbing frame is fantastic for their muscle development and coordination. The Pikler Triangle assist the baby to develop spatial awareness. It can be adjusted to different setting and even made into a tent! You can also buy a slide later on to connect to it.

Busy Cube

I didn't have room in my apartment for a bust board for our little one so we got this cube. It is the perfect size to fit in their hands. The bigger kids like it too! It has a lot of activities that will keep his attention on.

Pop-Up Pegs

This toy can last for many ages. Our little one first learned how to take to the pegs out. Later he learned to put them in. Eventually he will be able to match the colours and press them enough to make them pop up!

Permanence Box with Drawer

The Permanence object box allows your baby a to practice hand eye coordination, and helps your baby understand that the object still exists even though they cannot see it. This work stimulates your baby's curiosity making it exciting to learn.

3D Puzzle

8-9 month old babies love to explore everything around them. At this age they become interested in fitting objects. These activities enhance hand-eye coordination and give the baby an opportunity for his two hands to work together in a meaningful way.

Magnetic Blocks

We bought these for our flight and our baby loves them so much! Even though he doesn't understand the science behind it, he loves pulling the blocks apart and putting them back together. These blocks come in a handy pouch so it's easy to travel with!

Shape Puzzles

This is the perfect age to introduce them to their first puzzle. It might not be easy but eventually they will develop the skills to complete it on their own. The little pegs are great to help them pick up the pieces.

Quiet Books

Although these type of books are expensive they are so worth it! Our little one will spend a good while on each page! This particular one is my favourite because of the activities in it.

Ball Push

The benefits of hammering and pounding toys include hand-eye coordination, building arm strength, concentration and focus. It was such a wonderful moment when we saw our little first use the hammer correctly!

Coin Box

Not only do they learn about object permanence but they have to learn how to twist their wrist in skilfully so they can successfully get the coin in the box. 

Laminator

This one isn't a toy but it it so useful in my DIY toys. For example, I laminated photos of family members so our little one can become familiar with them.

Nesting Bowls

These beautiful wooden bowls are the perfect size! Babies at this age love to destroy and build. So let them practice with this bowls!
